CareIn it's natural habitat L. laevigatum can be found in slow moving and stagnent waterways. It is very hardy and can stand a wide range of temperatures, from just above freezing to in excess of 90, which makes it a good choice for most ponds. Spreading by runners, it can quickly cover an aquarium or pond. With it's hanging roots it makes an excellent cover for fry.
