Family: Lythraceae Region: Africa
CareLike A. gracillis, this is a light demanding plant, however it grows and propagates faster. While not as colorful as A. gracillis, it can make a stunning look, even in smaller aquariums. It is at it's best planted in groups.
Propagation by cuttings/lateral shoots and by seed.
Differentiating between A. gracillis and A. senegalensis can be problematic at best but include down turned leaves in A. senegalensis. Inflorescences indicate they may not be different species but rater variants of the same species.
